Drawing in nature – a new publication by Albrecht Rissler

Today I want to commend the new book by Albrecht Rissler. It is available on Amazon. When you click on the link in the image credits above you can see a number of images as preview. I know that this blog post is mainly of interest for the German readers as the book is printed in German language. That is a handicap of course. The handy book in square format is a veritable compendium for landscape drawing. The texts are short but full packed with great and inspiring tips and tricks. The drawings and sketches are the main actors. I would estimate 2/3 of the pages are reserved for images and only 1/3 for text explanations. I hope that one day there will be an English spoken edition.
Albrecht Rissler is a capacity in teaching drawing and illustration. As in his drawings he is not the man to settle with the second best in terms of content and presentation when publishing a book.
This book stands out in the market of books on drawing. It is placed on my shelf together with the bestsellers by Bert Dodson and Betty Edwards.
