On a mostly grey November day small pieces of blue sky and a few sun rays can make a big difference. The owners of small vineyards and fruit tree meadows convert their small huts step by step into weekend houses. The two in this oil pastel study look still the same since about the 1930′s. Usually there is not much inside, dusty old furniture and some rusty garden tools at best.
I started this study with an ink brush drawing on a drawing paper I had prepared with dark brown oil colour. The size of the paper is 35×50 cm and it fits exactly to the plywood piece that I use as support. I do not use and easel at all.
