Going out this year was mostly for photography (I am close to finish one of my bigger drawing books soon though, which will be prepared for a facsimile re-print on Blurb). In the grey days of January it seems the only strong colors you can get shown up in the skies at sunrise or sunset. Even though the topic is a worn out cliché each time I go out I am thrilled. Part of that is because the show takes place only on for 10-15 minutes. It is hard to predict what will happen. Clear skies are less attractive than those with clouds and even with fog. The best light and colors came more or less unexpected as surprise.
Meantime I know the places where to go and I am prepared with a small tripod.
